Recognising a crisis in mental health and wellbeing throughout Australia, Gold Logie nominated actress and former Neighbours star Eve Morey has joined EquiEnergy Youth as our Ambassador. After viewing our online program ‘Coach 2 Cope – Psychological First Aid’ Eve has become a strong advocate for this program and its aim of building capacity in adults so they can be effective and confident responders when the young people in their life need support with their mental health.

“Most of us haven’t been taught how to process and make sense of uncomfortable feelings. As a result, when we or someone we love experience distress, we can feel helpless as to how best support them. I became an advocate for EquiEnergy Youth because I was inspired by their want to reduce suffering amongst young people, but in particular by their approach – they call on adults within the community to engage and act, and therefore not only learn how to support others, but by osmosis, learn to better support themselves. This is the type of approach that can stop intergenerational trauma in its tracks, as well as set a child up with a sense of emotional hygiene for the rest of their lives”. says Eve.
